Mr. Kerry Swan was born November 13, 1956 in Bessmer, Alabama, the son of Hoover and Lillie Swan. He fell asleep on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the age of 63 years.
Kerry lived in Saginaw, Michigan most of his life besides a brief residence in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Saginaw High School, “Class of 1974.” After graduation, Kerry completed a year of studies at Delta College, majoring in Political Science. He was a faithful member of New Covenant Christian Center under the leadership of Dr. Ron Frierson.
Kerry had an entrepreneurial spirit and founded two construction companies, Tin and Wood Construction and Swank Builders. He was self-employed most of his life after working in the plant and as a contractor at the VA Hospital early on in his career. His hands were skilled and blessed with the ability to build and fix anything.
Kerry was strong-willed, kind-hearted and a family man who loved his kids, as well as all his grandchildren. He will truly be missed, yet we find comfort in knowing he is now resting in a building not made by hands.
Kerry was preceded in death by his parents, Hoover and Lillie Swan.
