Kevin Hall (Lansing)

Mr. Kevin Hall passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Sparrow Health Systems Hospital in Lansing, Michigan with some of his loved ones after a long fight against infection. Age 67 years. He was born on February 12, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan. He was the son and only child of Betty and Wilbur Hall.

Kevin resided in Jackson, Michigan most of his life, as well as Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Northwest High School in Jackson in 1973, where he played football and ran track.  He attended Jackson Community College followed by the University of Michigan, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree to become an electrician.

He retired from General Motors after 30+ years of being a devoted and hardworking electrician. He never missed a day on his watch. He was quite a hardworking man. In his free time, he loved to travel around the United States, especially with his loved ones.  Some of Kevin’s favorite places to go were Sturgis, Michigan, Yellowstone National Park, and Cedar Point Amusement Park. He had a very adventurous spirit and was highly intelligent as well as independent. He was a big risk taker in a dare-devilish way. Kevin was a big collector of things he valued including silver, which he had been collecting since the early 1990s. He had too many friends to count. Kevin lived with his significant other, Rose Ferels, and their fur-baby cat, Midnight aka Bubba. They spent a wonderful and cherished 19 years together.

Kevin had 4 children but was a father figure to many more. He was a huge loving family man. He was the best grandpa in the world to his grandchildren who he loved and cared for very much!  He had 3 stepchildren and Kevin had a unique bond with each of his children’s significant others. Especially his son-in-law, Victor Lyons with whom he had a very special bond that would never be broken. Victor always put on the firework show on the 4th of July that Kevin looked forward to every single year.

He leaves to cherish his memory his significant other, Rose Ferels; 4 children, daughters, Megan Short and Jessica Armstrong; sons, Charles Hall and Shannon Miller; 3 stepchildren, Samantha (Victor) Lyons, Frank Russell, and Michael Russell; 10 grandchildren; mother, Betty Hall, age 95 who resides in Florida; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Hall; and stepson, Frank Russell.
