Kevin S. Holt (Lansing)

Kevin Scott Holt passed away unexpectedly on June 9th, 2024, at the age of 56 years old. He was born on May 13th, 1968, in Albion, Michigan. He had fond childhood memories of ice skating and fishing on the Kalamazoo River. At the age of 10, he moved to Lansing, Michigan where he met some lifelong friends and developed his love of basketball.

Kevin earned a bachelor’s degree from Spring Arbor University. He went on to earn his master’s degree in business administration from Northwood University. He was proud of the fact that he worked throughout this time and self-funded his education.

If you were Kevin's friend, he went the extra mile to help when he could. He was a problem solver who would work persistently until a solution was found.

He was uplifting towards his friends and showed his support through words of encouragement or physically showing up when he was able to.

If you knew Kevin, you know he had the gift of gab. He could have a conversation with anyone and make them feel important and valued. He was a sports fan through and through and could remember facts from decades ago and relate them to how they're relevant to things today.

Kevin had an affinity for comedy. He loved watching and listening to his favorite stand-up comics and sharing them with the people he loved. He was able to crack jokes with ease and bring smiles out in the room.

His true calling came when he became a dad to his cherished son, Kota, three years ago. He treasured the time he spent with him as a stay-at-home dad. His love for Kota radiated with every ounce of his being.

Kevin leaves behind his longtime partner, Casey Beauchamp; precious son, Kota Beauchamp-Holt; mother, Jacqueline Holt; father, Lionel Holt; grandfather, Robert Holt; sister, Kelly Holt; nephew, Kadyn Grattan; and many aunts and cousins.

There will be a gathering in the future for close friends and immediate family.
