Kevin Rogan (Lansing)

October 17, 1949 — August 5, 2022

Mr. Kevin Tyler Rogan passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at Hospice House of Lansing, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 72 years. Kevin was born October 17, 1949, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Keith and Eisse Mae Rogan.

Kevin graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and moved to Lansing, Michigan. In Lansing, he held several jobs before landing a job with Special Transportation, later to become Dean Transportation; Kevin worked there for 37 years prior to retirement. He was a member of Divine Grace Ministries of Lansing, Michigan.

He was an avid University of Michigan fan (Go Blue!) but loved watching sports of all types; as well as the 6 & 11 o’clock news, Antiques Roadshow, and RV/Boat Shows. Kevin was known to document all his life events via photographs and videos. He also loved music; put on a song and Kevin would be tapping his foot, pointing his finger, and dancing. He enjoyed going to the casino.

In 2018, Kevin married his loving wife, Jacqueline. Together they experienced many of Kevin’s firsts – a vacation, a plane ride, his first movie theater visit – where he learned that he loved popcorn, and he became Pop-pop to his granddaughter. They also enjoyed holding family BBQs and Bonfires. After becoming Pop-pop, his favorite shows switched to Curious George and Daniel Tiger.

Kevin was a loving, peaceful, hard-working man that will be missed by many.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Jacqueline S. Rogan of Lansing, Michigan; sons, Jason LeShore of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Darius Taylor of Lansing, Michigan; daughters Brianna Allen, Nakia Taylor, and Dashawna Bowers, all of Lansing, Michigan; grandchildren, Jaylann B. Taylor, BellaGrace A. Taylor, three granddaughters and a grandson residing in Fort Wayne, Indiana; brother, Bruce A. Rogan (Adrienne) of Arizona; brothers-in-law, Everic Allen and Kareem Moore of Lansing, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends including special friends, Thurstan Allen, Marty Goodwin, Kellie Dean, and god-daughter, Rita Montoya.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Eisse Mae Rogan; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Reverend T. Kurtz of Middleson, Georgia; sisters, Sandra and Pamela Rogan; brother, Timothy Rogan; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Mary Moore; and best friend, Fred Lee Thomas and honorary mother, Pauline Johnson West.
