Khalil Harris

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend, Khalil Kwan Amir Harris, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born August 1, 2009, the son of De’Janay Harris and Deontae Bickham.

Khalil was a loving and caring person throughout his childhood with a beautiful smile. He attended Stone Elementary, Thompson (Willie E) Middle School, and Success Academy. He played flag football, and basketball, and was on Coach T’s AAU team. Khalil was a charmer with his smile and the sound of his voice. He will be greatly missed and always cherished by his family and many friends who loved him dearly.

Khalil leaves behind wonderful memories with his mother, De’Ja-Janay Harris; father, Deontae Bickham; stepfather, Marques Lindsey Sr.; brothers, Damaryon Harris and Marquayvon Lindsey; stepbrother, Marques Lindsey Jr; baby sister, Maryiah Lindsey; sister, De’Ariea Bickham; grandparents, Desiree (Derike Sr.) Murrell; great-grandparents, Jamie (Raymond) Sanders-Hicks; step-grandmother, Shari Hayes; aunts, De’Adrianne Harris, Shavonne Harris, D’Asianique Murrell, Turina (Ron) Trower, Quangi Lawson and Yolanda Harris; uncles, Derike Murrell Jr., DeShawn Murrell (Akia Whitson); great-aunts, Trushone Harris and Latasha Watson; great-uncles, Charles Harris Jr., and Martel Harris; cousins, Sentara Purdy, Lavera Green, Londynn Mayes, Masiah Murrell, Lengend Harris; cousin/twin brother, Armani Purdy-Foster, godmother, Thomesha Wicker (Coach T); Khalil also leaves a special friends, Ta’Marria Green, Shantaria, Sam, Rashodd, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his ‘lil brother, Prince Harris; cousins, Lakiesha Mims, Christye Washington, MarQuanae Harris, and DeQuan Mims, grandfathers, Charlie Harris Sr. and Donald Buchanan, great-great-grandparents, Mattie Sanders, and Willie and Vera Murrell.
