Kris Arthur Falls

January 4, 1951 — September 16, 2022

Mr. Kris Arthur Falls, the son of Carrie Lee Bell, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina. Age 71 years. He was born on January 4, 1951, in Marigold, Mississippi.


Kris relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, at an early age. He graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1969, attended Delta College for a brief time and then enlisted in the United States Army. Kris served in the Panama Canal during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Export (M-16), Sharpshooter (rifle M-14), and First Class Gunner (M60 M6). Kris later worked for General Motors and then in the food industry. He enjoyed playing chess, fishing, watching T.V., hanging out with his buddies, and attending family gatherings. Kris also loved music and singing. He will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.


Kris leaves to cherish his memory five daughters, Anita Falls, LaTesha Buckley, Rose Buckley, Angela Powell “Quick”, and Chantel Carter; four grandchildren, Roman Buckley, Jordan Jones, Dennis C. Mayes Jr., and Chayil Jones, all of Saginaw, Michigan, and 6 additional grandchildren out of state; two great-grandchildren, Ke’Marion J. Wilson, and Journee A. Mayes; five sisters, Mary Pointzes, Gloria Jackson, Sheila Collins, Tammie Cannon, and Walterine Bell; three brothers, Kinnie Lee Falls, Tyronne R. Vaughn Sr., and Roosevelt Bell; a host of nieces including special nieces, Terry, Tiffany, and Deshondra Falls, Stacy Vaughans, and Shana Collins, RN; a host of nephews including special nephews, Joseph Jackson, Cecil, Venice, and Kinnie F. Falls; many cousins, other relatives, and friends including special friends, George Redeemer, Larry Packard, Russell Terrell, Jimmy Bailey, Carl Ruth, and the Honorable M.T. Thompson, Jr.


Kris was preceded in death by his mother, Carrie Lee Bell; three sisters; two brothers; one daughter, Anita M. Falls; great-granddaughter, Serenity Unique Isa Buckley; one special nephew; and grandparents, George and Carrie Falls.
