Kyra F. (Poole) Miller

Mrs. Kyra Poole Miller departed this life on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the age of 66. She was born October 13, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Johnnie E. Poole and Equilar M. Young.

Kyra attended grade school in Saginaw, Michigan and later relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where she went on to receive her GED and spent many years working various jobs. She later relocated to Akron, Ohio. While there, she met the love of her life, Frank Miller, and the two married on April 15, 2000.

Kyra enjoyed cooking and spent many years as the head cook in senior living facilities in Akron. She also enjoyed spending time with family, making it a priority to visit her hometown yearly to see her mother and other family members. Her favorite hobbies included playing games on her tablet and watching game shows on TV. She always found comfort attending services at Greater Freewill Missionary Baptist Church in Saginaw, where she was under watchcare.

Kyra was preceded in death by her husband of seventeen years, Frank Miller Jr.; father, Johnnie Poole Sr.; grandparents, Earl Sr. and Ruby Young, Hubbard and Hattie Bell Poole; sister, Phyllis K. Goss; aunts, Mary Adams, Velma Johnson and Mandy Young; uncles, Earl Young Jr. John Albert Young, Norman Adams and Rayford Poole Sr.; nephews Marcel, James Poole and Andre Poole.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Equilar Harris Muhammad, Saginaw, Michigan; stepchildren, Kevin (Melvena) Neal, Frank III (Iesha), Jason (Andreya), Justin (Starchella), Carmitta Miller, all of Akron, Ohio, Carmen Miller, West Virginia; nineteen step-grandchildren; sister, Sheila Swilley, Saginaw, Michigan; brothers, Sheldon (Donna) Poole, Dallas, Texas, C.L. Poole, Carlisle, Arkansas; nephews, Jason Swilley, Saginaw, Michigan, Sheldon Poole Jr., Frisco, Texas; nieces, Demeka (Willie Jr.) Drain, Saginaw, Michigan, Shequilar Williams, Lancaster, Texas, Iesha (George) Copeland, Saginaw, Michigan, Joi Pratts, Hugo, Oklahoma; aunts, Artrice Nichols, Carlisle, Arkansas, Ollie Reid, Saginaw, Michigan, Gwendolyn Young, Detroit, Michigan; godsister, Tina Houze; many cousins, other relatives and friends, including close friends Debra Brown, Evelyn Neal Miller and spiritual advisor Mrs. Maggie Mack.
