Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 60 years. L.C. Haynes Sr. was born April 8, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan to Harrison and Lula Mae Haynes.
L.C. was a life-long resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill Tech High School in 1970. He retired from Malleable Iron Foundry after 12 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 455. Always known as a "jack of all trades", he was a master at playing cards, dominos, pool, and swimming. There wasn't anything he could not do. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Willa Diane Haynes; four daughters, Linda Tyler, Sabrina (Derek) Haynes-Williams, Ursula Haynes, Lula Haynes; five sons, L.C. Haynes Jr., Deon Haynes, Demond Haynes, Eric Dorsey, Tyler Moncrief; twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-children; two sisters, Velma Hall and Thelma Haynes; four brothers, Walter (Annie) Haynes, Willie (Bobby) Haynes, Arthur Haynes, L.J. Haynes; many nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Willie Garrett, Tina Lindsey, Ozeil Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula and Harrison Haynes, two brothers, Joseph Haynes, Eddie Haynes, two sisters, Sue Haynes, Margaret Haynes, one granddaughter, Trishelle Williams.
The family of the late L.C. Haynes Sr. sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness and prayers during their time of sorrow. We would like to extend our heart-felt gratitude to Covenant Healthcare -Harrison. May God bless each of you.
