Lakeisha Lanasha Harris

June 2, 1999 — January 19, 2020

Our beloved angel, Lakeisha Lanasha Harris, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2020. She was born June 2, 1999 in Saginaw, Michigan to Martel Trent and Yolanda Yvette Harris.

Lakeisha came to know God as a child and was a faithful member of Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Mackinaw High School, “Class of 2019.” After high school, she started working in adult foster care at Needed Angels.

Lakeisha was full of life. She was outgoing, fun, friendly, and loved hanging with her friends. She was an encourager and motivator, always urging her family and friends to follow their dreams. She had a close bond with her sister, Lakeidra, and they were two peas in a pod and the best of friends.

More than anything, Lakeisha loved being a mother to her two children. She was so nurturing, attentive and loving towards them. Twenty years was not enough time, but we look forward to spending an eternity with Lakeisha. See you in the morning!

Lakeisha was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Floyd B. Mims, Sr., Charles Harris, Jr.; aunt, Debra Mims; uncle, Clarence Hatchett, Sr.; great-grandfathers, James Essex, Charles Harris, Sr.; great-grandmothers, Maggie Essex and Mattie Sanders.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Amariaa Mariyah Harris, Shavar Semaj Craft, Jr.; parents, Martel Trent and Yolanda Harris; one sister, Lakeidra Mims; three brothers, Martel Jr., James (Diamond), Shamar Mims; grandparents, Mary Mims, Jamie (Raymond) Hicks; great-grandparents, Freddie Harris, Kenneth McKinnon; eleven nieces; nine nephews, including two special nephews, Patrick Robinson, Jr., Domingo Mims; aunts, Mary Hatchett, Tina Taylor, Tyhronda Mims, Yolanthe (Bruce) Brown, Trushone Harris, Desiree (Derike) Murrell, Latasha Watson, Sabrina Mims, Shavonne Harris, Shelly (Bob) Hill, Ginger (Danny) McKinnon-Winbush, Turina Brandon Trower; uncles, Tyrone, Brandon, Floyd Jr., Willis Mims, Charles Harris, Jessie Sanders; special cousins, Randasia Brown, DeQuan Mims, Deshawn Murrell, Myra Brown, Christopher Hatchett, Derick Murrell, Briana Brown, Clarence Hatchett, Jr., Kentella Harris, Jasmine Mims, Crussandra Mims-Ivy, Sataitshia Mims, Willis Mims, Jr.; many other relatives and friends, including special friend, Shavar Craft, Sr.
