Mr. Lamont Edward Bland "Monty" passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Shields Comfort Care Assisted Living. Age 57 years. He was born June 4, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan, to Eddie Bland and Valarie Bland Williams.

Lamont was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was educated in the Saginaw Public School District, later earning his GED. Lamont worked as a tire technician for various employers over 20 years.  He enjoyed being around family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Lamont’s favorite pastimes including playing Spades, and the Nintendo Wii Tiger Woods Golf game. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Derrick Riley, Michael Schoen, and Kenneth Thompson; grandchildren, LeDarrion, Derrick, and Persha Riley, Grayson Schoen, Nijeare and Ny’Imah Thompson; sisters, Cassandra “Sandy” Bland (Allen Kingkay), Glynis (Lionel) Turner; brothers, Dion (Therese) Bland, Kiley (Dawn) Bland, and James Williams Jr; aunts, Toni (William) Hicks and Debra Blakley (Kenny McCall); uncles, Vincent (Kimberly) Bond, Ritchard (Jean) Bland; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins including Anita "Ne'Ne" Cope who was more like a sister; many other relatives and special friends including Antionette Bland and Annie Coleman.

Lamont was preceded in death by his parents, Valarie Bland Williams, Eddie Bland, and stepfather, James Williams Sr.
