March 20, 1956 — November 1, 2019

Mr. Larney Kim Johnson was born March 20, 1956 in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of Larney and Teresa Johnson. He passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at the age of 63 years.

Larney attended school in Greenville, Mississippi and graduated from Greenville High School, “Class of 1976.” He studied skilled trades while in high school and received a certificate of excellent completion. He met a girl in Mississippi that stole his heart. Her name was Brenda Boyd. What many thought was a teenage love affair turned into a lifetime of love. The couple journeyed to Saginaw, Michigan together and married in 1996. They shared twenty-three years of marriage together but a lifetime of memories.

Larney was a hard worker and a family man. His children were his everything and he had a special affection for his grandchildren. He was laid back yet had a great sense of humor. He was a giving man and was always helping others. His sweet spirit will definitely be missed but his love for us is forever in our hearts and memory.

Larney was preceded in death by his son, Lamarkas Boyd; father, Larney Johnson; mother and father-in-law, Tella McCline and Pete Taylor; nephew, Jarvis Johnson; friend, James Daniels.
