Larry Abernathy

Larry Abernathy passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his residence in Defiance, Ohio. Age 65 years. He was born November 1, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to Robert H. Abernathy, Sr. and Jessierene Cross-Abernathy Sears.
He was employed at General Motors for 37 years until his retirement in May 2006. His passion was detailing cars, which he did until his health prevented him. He also loved to help people when he could. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mrs. Patsy Abernathy; two sons, Larry W. Abernathy and Martin (Barbara) Abernathy; one daughter, Fazielt Abernathy; three grandchildren, Enilio, Andres and Inonyee Abnernathy; two sisters, Hazel Cook and Jackie Watkins; two brothers, Willie (Betty) Abernathy and Jerry Abernathy; two nieces, Natalie and Marquita Crudup; six nephews, Donny, Derrick and Shannon Cook, Robert, Freddie Walkins and Greg Abernathy; one sister-in-law Barbara Crudup; good friend, Earl Pegues and his life long best friend Craig Young; many other relatives & friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Jessierene Abernathy, stepfather Watson Sear, and brother Robert Abernathy.
