Larry Marquail Mixon Iii "Luke"

Mr. Larry Marquail Mixon III, affectionately known as “Luke,” passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2022, in Conroe, Texas. Age 18 years. Larry was born September 4, 2003, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Larry Marquail Mixon Jr. and Sonia Carrisal.

Luke was a resident of Stafford, Texas, and a graduate of Stafford High School, Class of 2021. He was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church in Carrollton Township, Michigan, under the leadership of Pastor Delwin C. Tatum Sr. He was employed at Walmart. Luke had a very special relationship with his granny, Yolonda, whom he had the pleasure of calling “Ma.” She, along with his parents, helped to raise Luke from his infancy. He knew he had her wrapped around his finger; he could always count on her no matter what it was. Luke enjoyed playing basketball, listening to music, playing video on his PS5, and he loved expensive clothes and shoes. Most of all, he loved being with his family. Luke will be missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.

Precious memories of Luke will be cherished by  his mother, Sonia Carrisal; grandparents, Larry (Yolonda) Mixon Sr., and John and Vera McDonagh; sister, Christiana Carrisal-Lester; twin brothers, LaQuan and LaQuarius Mixon; nephew, Kayden Doster; aunts, Casandra (Mondo) Ferrer, Tovi and Gennella Williams; uncles, LaVail Mixon Sr., Mark and Joe Carrisal; cousins, LaVaiya and LaVail Mixon Jr., Alicia Rodriguez, Audrina, Gavin, Alexandria, Amia Carrisal, Zuliana, Zelina, Zavier Ferrer; many special cousins including Dy’Terres Lindsey, Afton Jordan Jr.,  and Lauryn Martin; special friends, Otae, Davarion “Popcorn,” and Zach.

Luke was preceded in death by his father, Larry M. Mixon, Jr.
