Larry J. Rogers was born April 12, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Johnnie and Corrine Rogers. He passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. Age 67 years.

Larry received his education through Buena Vista Public Schools and graduated from Buena Vista High School, “Class of 1969.” He later became employed by Buena Vista Township School District.

Larry was a man of God and attended First Baptist Church of Bridgeport and later Zion Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and fixing on cars. Nothing brought him greater joy than the company of his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Faith and family were principles he stood on, lived by and passed on to his children.

Larry was preceded in death by father, Johnnie Rogers; sons, Jason and Larry Mathious; sister, Willie Mae Rogers; brothers, Johnny and Gary Rogers; nephew, Robert Lee Rogers.

He leaves precious memories with his daughters, Tracie Mathious, Santana Rogers; son, Larry McDonald; stepchildren, Dion and Eddie Rae Sibley; grandchildren, Marquisha Vail, Andrinelle Vail, D’Maiya Black, Arianna Moten, LaKesha Mathious, Sidney Mathious, Jequavion Mathious, Jason Mathious, Larry Nixon, Larry McDonald Jr., Larry McDonald III, James McDonald, Alarryana McDonald, Shalarry McDonald, Aneyah Yrlas, Penelope Ruiz, Ka’Torreyana Townsend, De’Quan Rogers; great-grandchildren, Kaidence Vail, Ka’Nylah Vail, Jaiden Roberson, Lauren Howard, James Thompson; brother, Terry Rogers; nieces, Princess, Lorraine, LaKenya, Angela, Devonne, Jalisa, Michelle, Jennifer, Terri, Tess; nephews, Lorenzo, Dwayne, Johnny, Rocoid, Marcus; three aunts; uncle, Billy Stafford; sisters-in-law, Mary Wynn, Michelle Gulley; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
