Larry W. Baty (Lansing)

Mr. Larry W. Baty transitioned from earth to eternity on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Age 69 years. He was born June 15, 1950 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Ernest, Sr. and Emma Baty. He was raised in Saginaw, Michigan but made his life in Lansing, Michigan.

Those who knew Larry affectionately called him Wayne. He was also nick-named Snoopy. He was a devout Christian. He was employed by Chessie System, Inc. Railroad and finally by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan. Larry’s favorite pastimes included fishing, golfing, sports and video games. He was well-versed and knowledgeable of most subjects.

Larry leaves to carry on his legacy his children; Deverell (Alana) Baty ,Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dakiya (Dennis) Lewis, Gabrielle Baty and Chante Baty all of Lansing, Michigan, 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings; Patricia Baty El-Amin, Margie Baty Lawrence, Debra (Bobby) Cork, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Norma Baty Robinson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dan (LaVern) Baty, Laurel, Maryland, Emerson (Rosalyn) Baty, Mamou, Louisiana; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; Emma and Ernest Baty, Sr. and brother, Ernest Baty, Jr.
