Ms. Latavia Nicole Braddock passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 33 years. Latavia was born November 4, 1990, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Sylvia Denise Braddock and Napolean Riley.


Latavia, better known as “Tay-Tay, resided in Saginaw, Michigan. She grew up attending New Galilee Full Gospel Baptist Church and continued for many years. Tay-Tay graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 2008. She later pursued higher learning and achieved Medical Assistant certification in 2014 and Certified Nursing Assistant certification in 2016.


Tay-Tay was very family-oriented and had a passion for helping others. She enjoyed watching movies, cooking for the family, braiding hair, and most importantly spending time and taking care of her children. Tay-Tay will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


Latavia leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Amaria Beverly; three sons, Jaylen and Ja’Lil Braddock and MaKhi Beverly; her father, Napolean Riley; stepfather, Jeffery Harris; six brothers, Eric Sr. (Denise) Riley, Jarmaine (Sharay) Riley, Naparion Riley, Dontrell Tinsley, Napolean Tinsley and Deonte Wesley, Sr.; five nieces, Raelynn Riley, Jaelynn Riley, Layla Wesley, Belvianna Wesley, and Kha’lani Jones; six nephews, Eric Jr., Eiden, and Rylan Riley, Deonte Wesley Jr., Messiah Tinsley, and Jesiah Tinsley; five aunts, Victoria Jones, Valarie Braddock, Anita Ann (Dan) Patrick, Kimberly (Todd) Butterfield, and Carlinda Bentley; six uncles, L.C. Braddock, Jr., Dixon Jones, Dewayne Jones, Ricky Riley, Willie (Carla) Riley, and Willie (Fatima) Riley; cousins, Daneshia, Damion, and Mitchell Braddock, Michael, Ta’Kyia, and La’Nyia Jones, Cherish Bentley, Evon Love, Antonio Cross, and many other cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Santana Lane, Raven Harvey, Ashley Williams, Alexis Alexander, Ebony Hatfield, Stephen Bell, Erik Rosas, Charneecia Jefferson, Arnisha McIntosh, Paradise Williams, Meyara Parker, Angelica Layton, Jasmine Lipsey, Sha’Toria Barnes, Carolyn Barnes, and many other friends.


Latavia was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Denise Braddock, brother, Zerrick Braddock, uncle, Van Braddock, cousin, Za’Ryia Reed, grandmothers Ernestine Jones and Lula Mae Riley, and other loved ones.


The family expresses special thanks to Pastor Ben Smith, Elder Luciose Lewis, Jr., Pastor Aundrea Lewis, Royceann Porter, and everyone who has supported us during this difficult time.
