Latavia Charmane Clifton

Latavia Charmane Clifton was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the age of 27 years. She was born November 23, 1985 in Saginaw, Michigan to William and Karon Clifton.
After fighting a strong battle with cancer, she is finally free. Through her struggles, she managed to keep a smile on her face and enjoy life with her kids. Latavia was a 2003 graduate of Saginaw High School where she participated in the school band. She also attended Dorsey Schools and Insession Arts of Cosmetology Beauty School. Latavia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hoyt Nursing Home. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo and she loved doing hair. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Latavia leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jordyn and Janae Clifton; one son, Richard Shelton Jr.; four sisters, Kandace (Marcus) Wirrick, Fresno, Texas, Shaquan Singletary, Syracuse, New York, Tanya Briggs, Georgia, Nekeisha Braylock, Saginaw, Michigan; three brothers, Shala Singletary and Ndeqwa Brown, both of Bay City, Michigan, William Clifton, Elizabethtown, New York; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Karon Clifton.
The family would like to express special thanks to Karmanos Medical Center, Angel of Hope, The Leukemia Foundation, Pastor Robert Davis and the Christ Fellowship Baptist Church family.
