Latoy (Lansing) Tate

LaToy MeaShea Tate passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at home in Lansing, Michigan. Age 29 years. She was born July 1, 1987 to Ardene Jackson.
LaToy enjoyed cheerleading. She was a cheerleader for both Walter French Junior High School and the Southside Panthers. She attended Potterville High School and graduated with honors. LaToy earned a degree in nursing at Lansing Community College, and became a licensed private homecare nurse. LaToy had a great sense of humor and was full of life. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her family, especially her mother, children, and siblings. She also spent quality time with her best friends, Peyanka Horton, Itecees Hall, and Nesh Wilcox. In January of this year, LaToy landed her dream job at MAGNA International. She made many friends, and gained great respect . Just recently, LaToy accepted Christ, so although her precious life seems way too short. We know that she is resting in the arms of the Lord, and now forever joined with her sister, Tyree Monique Tate.

LaToy also had special relationships with Veronica Benson, Anthony Benson, Sr., Anthony Benson II; Godparents, Pebbles McKenny, Valerie Barnett, Shirley Williams, Julia Daniels, and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Benson III, sister, Tyree Tate, grandparents, Helen Jackson, A.J. Jackson, Sr., Grandma Nancy, brother, Branden Simmons, uncles, Michael Pettigrew, John Pettigrew, cousin, Brandon Peterson, Ingrid Pettigrew, Mike Pettigrew, and her loving life-partner, Xavier Dean.
