Lawrence Easter

Mr. Lawrence Vern Easter, beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend went home to be with the Lord Friday, April 23, 2010. Age 66 years. He was born July 29, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan to Arlean Hardeman and Vern Easter.
Lawrence loved to laugh. He always made it a point to make you smile when you were in his presence. When asked how he was doing he always responded, Squaring up enough to stay free. He enjoyed playing his harmonica and gardening. He always greeted friends and family with flowers. Lawrence graduated from Delta College. He always stressed the importance of education and the individual value gained by attaining a college degree.
Lawrence spent his life sharing his gifts and knowledge with others. He worked as the Community Director for Trinity St. Johns Center for several years. He served as a military policeman for the United States Army. He taught English for St. Pauls School and worked for Saginaw Public Schools.
Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory six children, Johnetta Jordan, John Easter, Sallivia Browder (Brandon) Lawrence Easter Jr. (Jessica), Seddrick Brown (Tameka) and Paul Harris; one sister, Elsenia L. Porterfield; eleven grandchildren, Terriuna, Ciara, Zachariah, Ioryanna, Tioanna, Seddrick Jr., Lawrence III, Laeniya, Patricia, Elizabeth; nieces, Leighandrea King, Chanel Logan, Big Momma, Marie Harris, Mildred McElroy, Christella Brown, many other relatives and friends including all of his good friends at Buena Vista Senior Community.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his sisters, Constance Hardeman, Sallie Ruth Kendrick; brother, Lethanial King, Jr.; a nephew, Broderick D. Craft, two brothers-in-law, Joseph Kendrick, Henry Porterfield Sr.; a special friend, Cathy Brown.
