Ledora was faithful and dedicated to her work for the lord. She confessed christ and was baptized at an early age. In 1969, she moved to Lansing, Michigan. She began working for General Motors where she later retired after years of service. She was married to James Patterson Sr. for sixty-one years, who preceded her in death. From this union came eight children. She attended Holy Temple Ministries under the leadership of Elder and Julia Trice and Shecinah Glory New Faith Ministries under the leadership of Elder Robert and First Lady JoAnn Evans. She served as mother of the church at both ministries. Ledora enjoyed and loved her family and her church family. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Gloria J. Edmond (John), Gwendolyn Edmond (L J), Shirley M. Green (Patrick), Juanita Peters (Willie); four sons, James Patterson, Jr. (Willie Mae), John L. Patterson (Jennifer), Marvin L. Patterson (Eileen) and Don L. Patterson; thirty- three grandchildren, fifty-two great- grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Smith and Eunice Stepp of Lansing, Michigan; three brothers, Willie Crump (Samuella) of Tutwiler, Mississippi, Eddie Crump of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Ruben Crump (Cora) of Lansing, Michigan; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ledora was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, four brothers and her husband.
