Lee Earnest Henderson

Our beloved husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad, great-great-grandad, brother, and uncle passed away at Covenant Harrison Hospital on April 29, 2021.

Lee Earnest Henderson was born August 21, 1941 to Gene and Fredella Henderson in Ida, Louisiana. Coming to Saginaw as an infant, he graduated from Saginaw High School in 1959, and Detroit Barber College in 1961. Lee, who knew Pearl, his wife, since childhood, enjoyed sharing 32 years of marriage.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Fredella Henderson; brothers, Wardell, Willis, and Ornail Henderson; sister, Carelyn Wesley; grandchildren, Sherrill Shields, Marquis Meeks, LeMonte Shields, Sharleea King; extended children, Leigh A. King, Anessa M. Hendricks; nephews, Benjamin and Maverick Henderson; great-nephew, Nasir Owens.

He is survived by his loving wife Pearl Henderson; children, Rhonda (Tommy) Atkins, Saginaw, Michigan, Lee (Alicia) Gaddies, Charlotte, North Carolina, Tashia (Curtis) Phoenix, Indianapolis, Indiana, Andrelette Shields, Covington, Kentucky, Cindy and Kimberlee Shields, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; special grandson who he raised as his own, Anthony D. Hendricks; special extended children, Stephanie King, Latrell King, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Lethaniel King, Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters, Gloria Eiland and Ernestine Henderson, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Diana Jones, Austin, Texas; 52 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews whose lives he greatly impacted including special great-niece Shileena Henderson, several first cousins and good friend Ronald Williams "Chicago".
