Mr. Lee O. Garth passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 13, 2018. He was born on April 10, 1946 in West Point, Mississippi to Mr. Robert Sr. and Corine Garth.
After relocating to Michigan, he graduated from Saginaw High School, “Class of 1964.” Lee was joined in matrimony with his wife JoAnn in 1978. The two were married for 29 years until her death in 2007. Lee was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed being out in the woods. His passions included his cars, guns and watching football. He was employed with General Motors Saginaw Steering Gear Plant, dedicating over 20 years of service before his retirement in 2006.
He leaves to cherish his life and memory to his children, Rebecca (Jeffery) Townsend, Saginaw, Michigan, Hazel Garth, San Antonio, Texas; mother of his children, Ruby Garth; step-children, Sharon, Marvin and Demetrius Reed, all of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Joy Garth, Saginaw, Michigan, Shadoe Garth, San Antonio, Texas, Jayvon Garth, Grand Rapids, Michigan, along with Tiarra, Shanna, Asia, Alexis, Autumn and Amber; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Sandra) Garth, Saginaw, Robert (Ollie) Sykes, West Point, Mississippi; sisters-in-law, Bertha Garth, Ellen B. Waxman, both of Saginaw, Michigan; host of nieces, nephews, cousins in Saginaw, Michigan; relatives in both Indiana and Mississippi; special cousin, Lucille of Indianapolis, Indiana and long-time companion, Debra Jones of Saginaw, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Garth; parents, Robert Sr. and Corine Garth; son, Lamonte; brothers, William, Robert, and Burley; sister, Ann Garth; special aunt, Francis Hogan of West Point, Mississippi; and uncle Frank Randle of Indianapolis, Indiana.
