Lenward Carter

Mr. Lenward Carter Beloved Son, Brother, and Uncle passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Age 54 years. Lenward was born January 1, 1970, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Lenward McKinney and Ella Mae Carter Warren.

Lenward, a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, was a graduate of Buena Vista High School, Class of 1988. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.

Lenward leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Ella Mae Warren; five sisters, Rena and Charlotte Carter, Saginaw, Michigan, Christina McKinney, Saginaw, Michigan, and Angie and Nicole McKinney, Ohio; grandparents, Sam and Mattie Brown McKinney; bonus brother, Darren (Sheryl) Lindsay; nephews, Walter Riley, Dmarcus and Donquavis Lindsay, Justin Duran, Jahiem Carter, all of Saginaw, Michigan, and Demond McKinney, Grand Rapids, Michigan; nieces, Cashmere Carter, Dneisha Lindsay, Cira Carter, and Krisshonda, Jenne McKinney, all of Saginaw, Michigan; many great-nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; aunts, Ida Marie Watson, Houston, Texas, Josephine Carter, Los Angles, California, and Corrine Williams, Saginaw, Michigan; uncle, Clyde Carter, Los Angles, California; cousins, Edward, and Barbara Stephens, Flint, Michigan, Johnny and Ruby Davis, Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Sabrina Foreman, Kip Mason, and Eric Harris.

Lenward was preceded in death by his father, Lenward McKinney; stepfather, Steve Warren; sister, Regina Carter; grandparents, C.D. and Lillian Carter; and friend, Detrich Duran.
