Mr. Leon Shipp Fat passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 61years. He was born May 15, 1952 in Coldwater, Mississippi to James and Ethel Shipp.
Leon enjoyed fishing and playing card. He loved spending time with his friends and family. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory one daughter, Sheronda Shipp; one son, Dennis Shipp; four grandchildren, Devarick, Dontae, Lakeba and Nehemiah Henderson; six sisters, Addie Mae (Jessie) Donald, Mary Pearl Burton and Willie Jean Farmer, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Ethel Jean (Willie) Thomas, Estell (Roosevelt) Wright and Annie B. Anderson, all of Coldwater, Mississippi; two brothers, Cleveland (Modena) Williamson of Saginaw, Michigan and Joel (Linda) Williamson of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one sister-in-law, Annie Mae Williamson; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including a special friend of twenty-six years, Linda Jackson.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and James Shipp and one brother, Fred Williamson.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Covenant Healthcare 3rd floor and the staff of Janes Street Academic Community Health Center.
