Leroy Pearson, Sr. (Lansing)

Mr. Leroy Pearson Sr. passed away September 7, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 79 years. He was born August 13, 1943, in Lula, Mississippi to parents, David and Berniece Pearson.

Leroy enjoyed racing, gambling, fishing, and hunting. He loved working on and racing in his gray 1968 Chevy Nova, which he called The Funky Chicken.

He loved each and every one of his children in his own unique way, as well as his wife, Dorothy Lee; they will all miss him greatly.

He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Dorothy Lee Pearson; children, Darlene Pearson, Dorothy Pearson, Michael Pearson, and Frenchie Pearson; grandchildren, Britney Pearson, Shannon Love, Teddy Ellena, Tavontae Ellena, Myla Erwin, Jermaine Chavez, James “Boo” Williams, Kiera Sheapard, Arriana Peterson, Jamonica Peterson, Michael Pearson Jr., Porshia Pearson,  Marcell Jones, Leroy Pearson, Lakeshia Gilpin, Leeshyla Pearson, Denzel Pearson, Lyla Pearson, Marisha Smith, Letrece Gonzales, Toriana Swinford, Kareshia Pearson, Frenchie Pearson, Syeann Pearson, Darnell Pearson, Cord’el Pearson, and Denese Pearson siblings, Earie Jordan, Bertha Campbell, Annie Mae Wallace, Ray C. Pearson, Henry Martin, Paul Pearson, David Pearson, and Johnnie L. Pearson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by children, Stanley Pearson, Leroy Pearson, Jr., and Terry Pearson; and grandchildren, Skylar Evans and Lucy Dodd.
