Lessie B Spiller

Lessie B. Spiller passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 85 years. She was born March 11, 1926 in Sunflower County, Mississippi to Joe Stokes and Mary Anderson.
Lessie was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, and a member of Renaissance Baptist Church for over 25 years where she served as the mother of the church. She loved spending time with her many grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and her great great grandchildren as well. She enjoyed reading her Bible and watching gospel shows, her favorite being Bobby Jones. She loved her church family and spoke of them all the time.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Bernice Spiller and Tina Carruth; four sons, Joe (Amy) Spiller, Eddie (Janice) Spiller, Pienell Spiller, Sonny (Regina) Spiller; twenty- two grandchildren, Etoyia MaGee, Sherri Spiller, Denorris Smith, Dilaina (Brian) Pelt, Katrina (Tim) Osborne, Torrie (Christopher) Lee, Felecia Dixon, Sonnetia Jackson, Eddie Spiller Jr., Terrance (Lanisha) Spiller, Rasheda Laury, Tanisha Haywood, Torrance Parker, Pienell Spiller Jr., Ciara Spiller, Sonny (Carmen) Spiller Jr., Adrian Spiller, Markeith Page, Kelly Spiller, NaShandra Spiller, Joseph Spiller, Porsha Spiller, Reginald Spiller, Leslie Spiller; twenty five great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two sisters, Oberia Campbell and Earlene Berry, both of Elgin, Illinois; a special niece, Helen Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levi Spiller; father, Joe Stokes; mother, Mary Anderson; and two brothers, A.C. Stokes and Charles Stokes.
