Mrs. Lillie M. Taylor was called to eternal rest Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Magnumcare Saginaw. Age 90 years. Lillie was born May 10, 1924 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Frank and Lillie Johnson. She joined St. James Baptist Church at an early age and attended Foster High School in Lewisville, Arkansas. Mrs. Taylor married Mack Taylor in November 1944, to that union two sons, Joseph Mack Taylor and Daryle Lee Darley were welcomed.
Moving to Saginaw in the early 1950's, Lillie united with Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Mother's Board and Women's Mission until her illness. She was employed by the Buena Vista School District and Saginaw General Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Taylor leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Joseph Mack Taylor and Daryle Lee (Tongala M) Darley; four grandchildren, Wanda Brown, Keson Taylor, Saginaw, Michigan, Jasmine and Daryle Darley, Jr., Valdosta, Georgia; two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie M. (Rayford) Patterson, Utica, New York and Annie L. (James) Richardson, Bridgeport, Michigan; brother-in-law, Arthur Lee Featherston; a special daughter-in-law, Elowese Taylor, Saginaw, Michigan; many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Taylor; parents, Frank and Lillie Johnson; four brothers, Lee Manning, Andrew Johnson, Frank Johnson and James Johnson; one sister, Ozzie Lee Johnson-Featherston.
