Linda Elizabeth Morris (Lansing)

Ms. Linda Elizabeth Morris passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 81 years. She was born March 16, 1936 to Johnathan and Lucy Brand in Danville (Hawgwash), Kentucky.

Linda was a nurse. During her years of service, she as an African-American woman broke down racial barriers in the nursing profession that helped to change the course of history.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Michelle Renee’ Morris, Ursula Yvette Beasley-Morris; two sons, Brett Damion Morris, Darryl Keith Morris; thirteen grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, R.T., and many other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one brother.
