Linda King

Ms. Linda King was born on November 6, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, to Mamie Lee King and John E. Mackey. Linda passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023, with her sister, Pinkie Jenkins, by her side.

She leaves to cherish loving memories thirty-two sisters and brothers, Katie Johnson, Katie Woods, Willie (Marilyn) King, Mary King, Pinkie Jenkins, Willie Bell, Charlene Jackson, Annie (Charles) Savage, Nancy Bell, Ruby (Dennis) Rivet, Roosevelt, John (Laura), Sam, Jimmy (Bobbie) KC, Milton (Ann), and Gloria Mackey, Dora Bivins, Ida Brooks, Flavee Trice, Denise (TC) Walker, Linda Thomas, Milton, Leon, John and Essie Williams, Brenda Harris, Matthew, Mark and Luke Shore, George (Annette) Ervin and Addie Wallace; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The brothers and sisters reside in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie Lee King and John E. Mackey; three sisters, Martha King, Estelle Mackey, and Evelyn Walker; three brothers, Noel King, Ananias Mackey, and Jerry Thomas.

We bid farewell to our sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, most of all we bid farewell to a child of God, knowing we’ll see her again. So for now Lyn, goodbye until God calls us all home. May God continue to keep an angel as your shield!
