Linda Rivers

February 20, 1962 — June 23, 2024

Saginaw

Ms. Linda A. Rivers departed this life for eternal rest on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper, in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 62 years. She was born February 20, 1962, in Saginaw, to Charlie and Emma Rivers.

Linda attended Saginaw Public Schools. She loved her children and was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who would take any child in and love them as though they were her own. She also stepped into the role of “father” for her children as well. In her leisure time, Linda loved playing bingo, going to the casino, eating candy, and talking mess, even though she did not take any! She was one of a kind and the room would light up with her presence. Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was God’s child and He kept her beyond what the doctors expected. Linda fought a good fight for over twenty years following her first brain aneurysm. This was indicative of her strength and the warrior she really was. During her final days, Linda loved listening to music and dancing. She will be missed beyond the immeasurable love she demonstrated to everyone.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Utevia “Tee” Rivers, Derrica Newby-Clemmons, and Ashley Jackson; four sons, Norman “Rock” Rivers, Derrick Parham, Ronnie Clemmons, and David Robertson; grandchildren, IyResha Morris, Shavario Coleman, Tae’Jon Rivers-Baker, Kalin Rivers-Marlow, Bailee Rivers, Alia Parham, Alivia Clemmons, De’Jour Clemmons, Ah’Onesity Clemmons, Aziah Parham, and De’Ronnie Clemmons; four great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved; bonus mother, Edna Patricia Mayo; grandparents, Izora Rivers and Fred Rivers; five sisters, Cynthia Wilson-Rembert, Geraldine Wilson, Tanya Harris, Bukweanna Harris, and RoTonda White; nine brothers, Ceain Wilson, Chris Wilson, and Richard Wilson, Kenneth Rivers, Darrell Harris, Harold Harris, Dwaine Harris, William “Pork-Chop” Harvey, and Darius White; one aunt, Algertha Pritchett; many nieces and nephews, cousins and uncles whom she also cherished; special cousin, Alvin “Stone” Rivers; Linda also leaves sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law whom she dearly loved; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Marion Rose Chiaramonte and Jill Jackson.
