Linda Sue Mccarrick (Lansing)

Ms. Linda Sue McCarrick passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her residence. Age 62 years. She was born August 8, 1954 to Simon and Rosa Calderon in Lansing, Michigan.
Linda was a lifelong resident of Lansing. She attended Capital City Baptist Church located in Holt, Michigan. Linda worked for the Michigan School for the Blind and Deaf. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She spoke to her sisters almost daily. Linda loved her dogs too, Molasses, Romero and Daisy. She was an avid fan of her beloved Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and University of Michigan football team. Linda was a diehard fan of all crossword puzzles, shopping, buying jewelry and she loved to travel for a change of scenery. Linda was humble, very open minded, loved to joke around, and could be depended on to be a listening ear to anyone.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Shereese Nicole (Brandon Farr) Rhodabeck, Ericka Michelle Rhodabeck, and Brooke Caprice (Sabina Walker) Rhodabeck, Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Alexis Renae Rhodabeck, Destinee Marie, Jesus Andres and Victoria Jimenez, Alexandrea, Haleigh and Hunter McLain, all of Lansing, Christopher David McLain of California; Alexander and Andrew Farr, Olathe, Kansas; great-granddaughter, Estella Desirai Wade; three sisters, Lolly (Richard, Sr.) McCarrick, Lynne (Edward) Bain and Elaine (Bruce) Frazeur; six nieces, four nephews, many other relatives and friends including special friends Tom Holcomb and her dog, Romeo, her son she never had who was her everything.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Estella Calderon; grandson, Christian McLain and great-grandson, Devion Wade, Jr.
The family would like to express special thanks to her sisters with whom she had a special bond. We would also like to thank Tom Holcomb for his love, support and everything he did for Linda.
