Ms. Lisa Jones was born August 3, 1969 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Ulus J. Jones Jr. and Bertha O. Jones-Wright. She passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the age of 50 years.
Lisa spent her childhood and adolescent years in Danville. She attended Danville High School and graduated, “Class of 1987.” She later pursued a career in healthcare and worked in nursing homes throughout Danville and later Saginaw, Michigan.
In her spare time, Lisa loved to cook and sing. She enjoyed helping people in need. Nursing was the perfect career choice for her, and she excelled at it because of her passion for people. Her compassionate nature was a blessing to those she met. Lisa was giving, bold, strong and strong-willed. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Ulus J. Jones Jr.; sister, Felicia Jones; brother, Raven Jones; grandparents, Claire and Tommy Davis, Ulus Jones Sr. and Magnolia Weatherby.
She leaves precious memories with children, Detterian Jones, Dont’e Jones, Demetrius Jones, Julian Mason, Brittany Mason, Michael Johnson, Malcolm Johnson; sister, Yolanda Jones; brothers, Cory, Kevin, Jody, Maurice Jones; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special cousin, Kelly Steele.
