Mrs. Liza Valley passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Age 62 years. She was born March 16, 1949 in Sallis, Mississippi to Columbus and Classie Brooks.
She graduated from Long Creek High School in Sallis, Mississippi and later moved to Saginaw, Michigan. Liza was employed at Community Hospital Services for 20 years. She was a member of New Generation Church where she served as custodian, usher and trustee.
Liza leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Overton Valley, Saginaw, Michigan; one daughter, Tiffany Michelle Valley, Saginaw, Michigan; two grandchildren, Makayla Williams and Dequawn McMillian, both of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Pastor Mary Allen, Saginaw, Michigan, Emma Jean Lewis, Cleveland, North Carolina; three brothers, James Brooks, Minister Donald (Shindrill) Michael Lewis, Allen (Nicole) Lewis, Wetumpka, Alabama; sisters-in-law, Betty (Aaron) Valley, Mary Valley-Ellis, Merlene Valley Williams, all of Colsax, Louisiana, Viola (Fred) Valley-Mitchell, Beaumont, Texas; brothers-in-law, Edmo (Estell) Valley, Alexander, Louisiana, Morris (Mildred) Valley, James (Sue) Valley, Beaumont, Texas, Sylvester Valley; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including special friends Annie Cotton, Saginaw, Michigan, Sallye Mae Leavy, Kosciusko, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Classie Lewis and Columbus Brooks, stepfather, Jessie Lewis.
