Lonnie Woods, Jr. (Lansing)

Mr. Lonnie Woods, Jr. passed away January 10, 2021, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 35 years. He was born February 28, 1985, in Lansing, Michigan; the son of Lonnie Curtis Woods, Sr. and Eloise Gonzales-Woods.

Lonnie is a lifelong Lansing, Michigan native. He attended Lansing Community College’s Automotive Program. Lonnie was a car detailer. He was a jack of all trades including cooking on the grill, cutting hair, playing video games, and traveling out of town. Lonnie loved spending time with his family especially Anna, his fiancée, whom he loved and cherished. He always made sure everyone was good because he was a caring and loving person. Lonnie had a smile that would light up the room, he always knew how to keep a smile on others’ faces, no matter what they may be going through. Lonnie was loved by many people and will be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancée, Anna Marie DeLaPaz; daughter, Daveah La’Trece Wise; brother, Michael Thomas; aunts and uncles, Norma Jackson, Don and Alice Heady, Durlrick and Karen Jackson, and James and Misty Jackson, Holland, Michigan; cousins, Lamechiko Edwards, Teresa Manuel, Anthony Davis II, Matthew Paris, and many other cousins; parents-in-law, Milton and Ana DeLaPaz; three sisters-in-law, Cynthia DeLaPaz, Irma Tijering, and Feliciana DeLaPaz; 2 brothers-in-law, Joe DeLaPaz and Milton DeLaPaz, Jr.; he was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews; many other cousins, relatives, friends, and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and uncle, Robert Woods.
