Ms. Lori Rae Hill was born on Thursday, July 18, 1963, in Lansing, Michigan to parents Theodore and Mary Le Hill. She passed away peacefully at her home in Charlotte, Michigan, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the age of 60 years old.
Lori was raised in Lansing, Michigan, where she attended and graduated from Harry Hill High School. Lori dedicated 30 years of employment to Meijers where she worked as a clerk. Lori gained her wings and was met with open arms and the biggest hug from her grandson, Maximus Cooper, her sister, Sherry Yager and her beloved parents.
Lori loved with her whole heart—to have known her is such a blessing—she never met a person that did not become a friend. She greeted you with open arms and heartfelt conversation. Lori loved crafting and baking and she made the best apple pies. She also had a strong love for classic cars, and she enjoyed going to car shows and concerts; but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Lori is survived by her beloved partner of 25 years, Michael Langtry; daughters, Autumn (Derrick) Levy, Theresa (Ashanti) Stevenson, Amy (Terrence) Pido; step-daughter, Kasey (Corey) Langtry; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Amiya, Augustus, Octavius, Jason, Kalen, Daleylin, Carmen, Ignatius, Summer, Leah, Ashanti and Ariyah; sisters, Wendy (Brian) Walker, Lori Pido and Judy Hill; brothers, Ricky Thornburg, and Forrest (Michelle) Hill; and many nieces and nephews.
Lori’s wishes were to be cremated and placed with her grandson. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held in her honor on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Eldorado Event Center, 5206 South Cedar Street, Lansing, Michigan 48911.
