Lottie Mae Washington was born October 30, 1957 in Camden, Alabama, the daughter of Homer and Lottie Pettway.

Our beloved Lottie Washington went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Age 59. She accepted the Lord as her Saviour at a young age. Lottie attended Wilcox County High School in Camden, Alabama, then relocated to Lansing, Michigan in 1973. She loved to shop, cook her favorite southern dishes, go to yard sales, fish with her husband, and spend time with her family. Lottie loved to laugh, joke, and was an active member at New Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She had a very caring heart and loved to help people. Lottie was loved by many and most importantly, she loved the Lord.

Lottie leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of which they have been together for 34 years and married for 27 years, Tommy Washington, Sr.; one daughter, Tiffany Pettway; three sons, Eric (Brandi) Pettway, Tommy (Rachel) Washington, Jr, and Tyrell Washington, all of Lansing, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Samaria Pettway, Jazmine Pettway, Laila Washington, Davion Spitzley, SaRae Rembert-Pettway, Tommy Washington, III, and Nadiaa Washington, and Eric Pettway, Jr., all of Lansing, Michigan; two loving sisters, Rosie (Maurice) Scruggs and Ruthie (Charlie) Shaw, both of Lansing, Michigan; three loving brothers, Jack (Maggie) Pettway, Houston Pettway, both of Camden, Alabama, and Richard Pettway of Lansing, Michigan; one brother-in-law, Freddie Wiggins, Lansing, Michigan; four sisters-in-law, Bernice (Earl) Porter, Bobbie (Roy) Williams, Susie (Tampa) Washington, all of Lansing, Michigan, and Cora Lee Robinson of Cleveland, Mississippi; also including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, special friends, Linda Prewitt and Jeanette McClinton. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Lottie Pettway; one brother, Homer Pettway; one sister, Henrietta Wiggins, and one sister-in-law, Ina Washington.

Lottie ran her race in life and has reached the finish line where the Lord greeted her with open arms.
