Louis Washington

Louis Henry Washington, of Petersburg, VA devoted husband of 65 years, father and grandfather passed away on December 23, 2009. Age 83 years. He was born on March 29, 1926 in Petersburgh, VA to the late William Henry Washington and Nellie Washington Briggs.
He served in WWII Private First Class. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He worked at General Motors and retired from Millars Tire Company after 25+ years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Brenda Brooks of Petersburgh, VA, Barbara Doxie (Washington) and Trenika (Donnie) Stevenson both of Saginaw, MI; two sons, Channing (Carmen) Washington and Patrick (Irene) Washington both of Saginaw, MI; eleven grandchildren of Saginaw, MI; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarance A. Washington; four nieces, two nephews; many aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends including three sisters-in-law, Margaret Washington of Flint, MI, Catherine Valentine of Petersburgh, VA and Lean Jones of Petersburgh, VA; three brothers-in-law, Jim McCoy, Tyler Jones and William Jones; and special cousins, Clementine Coates and Shirley Weathers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eva Bell Washington; sister, Lorraine W. Brooks and daughter, Brenda Brooks.
