Lovera Stein Diggs-Woods affectionately known as Peaches departed this life on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the age of 69. She was surrounded by her family members who loved and adored her, she smiled said she loved everyone and peacefully transitioned to her eternal heavenly home. She was born June 25, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to her parents Robert Sr. and Georgia L. Diggs.
Lovera “Peaches” was a wonderful person full of laughter and joy with a kind compassionate heart to help anyone that stood in need. Lovera “Peaches” attended Saginaw High School and Delta College. Peaches gave her life to Jesus Christ as a young girl and was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor Robert Corley Sr. Peaches expressed her love for Jesus Christ through her worship and service at True Vine church by serving & participating on several auxiliaries and committee’s ranging from singing in the choir, young matrons to working in the kitchen.
In 1982 Peaches relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and married her husband, Donald Woods. While residing in Las Vegas, Peaches worked in management in the Hospitality Industry for a major Resort, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, loved cooking and having family gatherings and fellowshipping with her Las Vegas church family. After, the untimely passing of her husband, Lovera “Peaches” returned to Saginaw where she utilized her work experience and compassionate heart to work in the Social Services field for Samarita.
Peaches leaves to cherish her memory, sisters Beverly Diggs “Betty” and Connie (Marvel)Harvey, brother Michael Spivey and one aunt Hazel Roberts of Saginaw, Michigan. Her God-Children that she loved and raised as her own Joshua Tolliver of Saginaw, Michigan, Jeremiah Tolliver and Francell Tolliver of Las Vegas, Nevada and God-Grandson baby Jeremiah Tolliver of Saginaw, Michigan. Her step-mother Rose L. Diggs, two step-sisters Verta Green “Lynn” and Sherry Williams, one-step brother Marc Jackson all of Saginaw, Michigan, her good friend Denise Tolliver and her best friend Patricia Nunez both of Las Vegas, Nevada. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lovera “Peaches” was preceded in death by her husband Donald Woods, parents Robert Sr. and Georgia L. Diggs, sisters Barbara Jones, Verdia Nickson-Price, Hazel Marie Diggs-McMullen; brothers James Diggs, Leroy Diggs, Larry Diggs and Robert Diggs Jr. Niece Brenda Walker-Clark, great-niece Tamika Walker-Trice, great-nephew Eric Clark and her best
friend Zelma Hayes.

Peaches will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her love, her spirit and compassionate heart will forever remain in our hearts.
The family of Lovera Stein Diggs-Woods “Peaches” would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the 7th floor ICU medical team at Covenant Cooper Hospital, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel and everyone for their prayers and expression of love towards Peaches during her transition.
The family will honor Lovera “Peaches” request to not have an emotionally sad funeral service, instead those that wish may join the family and friends of Peaches for a memorial family dinner Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Golden Corral restaurant 4409 Bay Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603 from 1:00 – 3:30 pm.
