Lovie L. Conway

Ms. Lovie Lou Conway was born on September 8, 1966, in Saginaw, Michigan, the beloved daughter of George Conway Sr. and Dorothy Mae Sibley. On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, she passed away peacefully at home under hospice care, surrounded by the love of her devoted children and grandchildren. She was 58 years old.

Lovie was a proud graduate of the Ruben Daniels Lifelong Learning Center. After completing her education, she wholeheartedly dedicated herself to her most cherished role—being a full-time mother. She poured her heart into her children, ensuring they were always supported, loved, and encouraged.

A true fashionista, Lovie carried herself with grace, confidence, and style. She took great pride in her appearance, always making sure her hair and outfits reflected her vibrant spirit. Her love for music and dance brought her immense joy—she had a beautiful voice and even competed in talent shows, where her talent and passion shone brightly.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her sons, Torvell and Tory Conway; daughter, Monique Conway; her beloved grandchildren, Eniyah, Travayla, Travell, Kamnbry, Jenziah Tyariya; great-granddaughter, Na’Vayla; brothers, Alfred Earl, Derrick, and Calvin; a host of nieces, and special niece, Layshayna Conway; nephews, and special nephews, Paris Conway and Marcus Conway; special aunt, Lovie Harper; a host of cousins, and special cousins, Nancy Powell and Serena Wilson; and her special care givers Aaliyah and Amanda.

Lovie was preceded in death by her parents, George Conway Sr. and Dorothy Mae Sibley; brothers, Andy, David, and George; sister, Effie; aunts, Effie Beulah Mae and Precious Sibley.

Lovie’s love, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
