Luceil Allen gained her heavenly wings and flew home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Age 88 years. She was born August 8, 1925 in Arkansas.
Luceil held various jobs as a chef. She was Head Chef at Ramada Inn for several years. Luceil was an excellent cook who catered many events. She especially loved cooking for her family and friends for the annual holiday and family gatherings. Luceil was also an adult foster care provider. She cared for many disabled adults who loved her very much. She enjoyed listening to gospel music. Luceil was loved by many and her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Charlie Mae Parham and Geraldine Mack; one son, William Parham; ten stepchildren, Gloria Parham, Louise Parham, Debra Marlow, Kurtis Parham, David, Richard, Derick, Wesley and Aaron Parham, Roxanne Oakes; grandchildren, Wesly Levert, Felecia Pipkins, Sylvia Parham, Wanda Pipkins, Tracy (Ruben)Parham-Baldwin, Lavonia Parham, Cristal Allen and Chanta Miller; eighteen great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lear Wits, Viola Billington, Cora Dent, Maggie Johnson, Ossie Mae Johnson; one brother, Sylvester Shinaul; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Carrie Hall, Bertha Westerfield and Mary Jackson.
Luceil was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Allen, one grandson, William Parham Jr., one stepdaughter, Nadine Parham, one brother-in-law, Lucious Cage Bo.
The family wishes to express special thanks to her primary caregivers and grand-daughters, Felicia Pipkins and Tracy Parham-Baldwin for their excellent care and compassion given to Luciel, Bonnie Mitchell, Sabrina Humphrey, Primary Home Care, A&D Home Care and Hospice.
