Lucille Taylor (Lansing)

Mrs. Lucille Taylor passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in Dimondale, Michigan. Age 82 years. She was born on Thursday, January 1, 1941, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the daughter of Pearlie and Willie Cager, Sr.

Mother Lucille lived a full, successful life, from running her own daycare to graduating from college with a Nursing degree. The list of things she did was endless. She was dedicated to the Lord and all of his teachings. Ministered to beautiful people and churches, she loved to preach the Word of God. Lucille was also an Evangelist and a mother to her church at The Bread House South. Many of her family can tell you how much she cared for them. Any situation you had she could talk you through, or even out of it. Guess you could say she was a therapist too! She was a mentor to almost anyone she came across, with her energy being completely angelic. She knew just what to do or say. With that being said she was very knowledgeable, especially with her full lived life. We will always love you, Our Little Yellow Banana 💛.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, 2 daughters, Sheba Thomas and Kesia Thomas; stepson, Ladell Love “Pooky”; grandchildren, Crystal Cager of Chicago, Illinois, Bryan Cager, Tyrone Cager, Alex Cager, Mario Cager, Jamie Thomas, Kristina Scales, Kevin Glasscoe “Tray”, Robert Glasscoe, Rodney Taylor, Brandi Hoover, Jasmine Celestin, Justin Celestin, Sierra Fischer, Joshua Thomas, DaShawn Millbrooks, and Yazzmene Thomas; 2 sisters, Susie Love and Bertha Cager; sisters-in-law, Martha Cager and Dormell Cager, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relative and friends including special friends, Marvela Jones and her ex-husband, Nelse Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Cager; parents; 2 brothers, Willie Cager, Jr. and Albert Brown “AB”; parents-in-law, Earlene and Johnnie Taylor; and Roberta Cager.
