Lucious Sanders

August 27, 1941 — November 20, 2018

Mr. Lucious “Skinny” Sanders went from labor to reward on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the age of 77 years. He was born August 27, 1941 in Aliceville, Alabama to Louise Gandy and Arcell Sanders.

Lucious came to Saginaw, Michigan at the age of eighteen. It was here that he met and married the love of his life, Mrs. Bobbie Sanders, on November 22, 1964. The two of them enjoyed fifty-four years of marriage and four daughters.

Shortly after venturing to Saginaw, Lucious became employed with the General Motors Company and was a member of UAW Local 668. He was a faithful member of Jacob’s Ladder Church and he was active in ministry. His hobbies included car racing and talking on the phone.

Lucious was a loving husband, protective father and doting grandfather. He was a man who loved Christ and loved his family. He was the first love of all his daughters and an example to them of how a woman should be treated and loved. He was a real man that showed real love and that love will forever be cherished and never forgotten.

On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Lucious was welcomed by his parents, Louise McCaa and Arcell Sanders; step-parents, Annie Sanders and Gus McCaa; daughter, Sylvia Sanders; and sister, Eloise Little.
