Ms. Lula Mae Riley, our beloved mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday,
September 30, 2010 St. Marys of Michigan. Age 69 years. Lula Riley was born May 19, 1941 in Marks, Mississippi to Alberta Voss.
Lula came to Saginaw, MI in 1980 and was a faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist church. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Lula leaves to cherish her memories five children, Kimberley Riley (Todd Butterfield), Saginaw, MI, Willie C. (Carla) Riley, Bloomington, IL, Ricky Riley (Greta Watley), Saginaw, MI, Willie D. (Fatima) Riley, Jackson, MS, Napoleon (Devonda) Riley, Saginaw, MI; two step-children, Dennis (Sherry) Bentley, Otis Ray, Saginaw, MI; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alisa Kidd, Saginaw, MI, Elaine Hughes, Albirda Dobson, Chicago, Il; two cousins, Annie Lee Jackson, Rosie Smith; two god-daughters, Essie Wiley, Kathy Primas, Saginaw, MI; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Richard and Connie Castanon, Cleveland Smith, Annie Mae Williamson, Early Bentley.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Lee Cross; her mother, Alberta Voss; a special friend, Ephraim Bentley.
