Mr. L.V. Jackson, Sr., passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Optalis Health and Rehab Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Age 80 years. He was born November 1, 1942, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Barry and Mami Jackson.
L.V. graduated from Saginaw High School and is a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Motors (Saginaw Steering Gear) and was affiliated with UAW Local 499. L.V. enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and visiting with family.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Vanessa La-Joy (Charles) Toliver, Romulus, MIchigan; three sons, Leoris Vance Jackson, North Carolina, L.V. Jackson Jr., Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Lannie Fitzgerald Jackson, Battle Creek, Michigan; one stepson, Jon David Croel, Los Angeles, California; six grandchildren, Jamill, Jamia, L.V. III, and L’Varion Jackson, Ypsilanti, Michigan, Whitney Mitchell, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Omari Gordon, Los Angeles, California; four great-grandchildren, Ariana, Ethan, Symone, and Philemon Mitchell; six nieces; seven nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
L.V. was preceded in death by his wife, Alaindra Jackson; his parents, Barry and Mami Jackson, and three children, Carla, Latasha, and Lincoln Jackson; three sisters, Virgie Wiggins, Roberta Howard, and Rosemary Ford; one brother, Leon Jackson.
