Macayla Schumann

Macayla Marie Schumann was born October 23, 1989 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Kelly Schumann. She transitioned from this life to the next on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Age 30 years.

Macayla lived in Saginaw all her life. She was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, “Class of 2007.” As an adult, she was introduced to Christ and joined Old Town Christian Center Outreach Ministries.

Macayla was employed as one of the Assistant Managers at Kroger. She loved beaches and rainbows. More than anything, she enjoyed when her family would get together. Those were the moments she truly cherished. Her absence will be felt in the days to come but she will always be in our hearts and memory.

Macayla was preceded in death by her mother, Kelly Schumann; brother, Ruben Ocampo, Jr; grandmother, Judith Buck; grandfathers, Bernie Schumann, Donald Backholtz; great-grandmother, Ruth McNichol.

She leaves precious memories with her son, Myles Matthew Schumann, stepdaughter, Malayla Mae Huggard; father Fred Schumann; grandparents, Lois Barckholtz, Richard Elmer; two sisters, Ondrea (Angelo) Benavides, Jessica Ocampo-Burnias (Anthony Pacheco); brother, Fred (Krystle) Schumann; nieces, Caylin Mason, Ziza Burnias, Star Burnias, Mia Burnias, Onnalisa Pacheco; nephews, Dion Mason, Christian Ocampo, Ricardo Burnias III, Fred Schumann III, Ian Schumann; aunts, Bonnie Schumann-Schultz, Kathy Schumann, Ellie Murphy; uncles, Mike Schumann, Ruben Ocampo; favorite brothers-in-law, Ricardo Burnias, Jr., Dion Mason; many beloved cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends Reggie Adkins, Marcie Huggard, Jessica Mepham, Heather Flores, Desirae Weiss, Andii Reinhardt, James Schmalbeck, Melisa Collins and Trina Laframboise.
