Our beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 84. She was born in Union Springs, Alabama where she spent many years before leaving to reside in Saginaw, Michigan. She loved fishing, playing cards and spending time with family.
She leaves to cherish her lovely memories, three daughters: Clarissa Snow, Evangeline (Ira) Weathers and Novelyn Staffney; two sons: William Weems and Gerald (Nina) Staffney; twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren; siblings: Climmie Hale and J.H. (Venita) Paterson; daughter-in-law Ladie Sanders and brother-in-law Joe Franklin; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special niece Loretta Ivey. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Icey and Jessie Sanders, husband, the late Will Weems, son Willie (Bubba) Sanders, sisters Martha Ivey and Inez Franklin and son-in-law Johnnie Snow.
