Ms. Maggie Lee Jemerison-Williams went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Magnumcare of Saginaw. Age 84 years. She was born September 20, 1931 to Forrest and Sarah Jemerison in Meridian, Mississippi.
Ms. Maggie Jemerison-Williams was a member at St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Vincent D. McMillon. She loved singing and she sang with the choir many years. Children were near and dear to her heart. Maggie served as a foster grandparent in the Saginaw Public School District. One of her favorite pastimes was completing word search puzzles. She will be truly missed by family and friends.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, four children, Lavalle Sr. (Delores) Williams, Patrice Williams, Saginaw, Michigan, Keith Sr. (Vickie) Williams, Southfield, Michigan, Bridget (Rufus) Patrick, Bellflower, California; twenty-six grandchildren including Armeshia Jemerison whom she raised as her own; over forty great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joni Williams; two special sisters-in-law, Erthlene Jackson and Estelle Jemerison; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Addie Griffin, Delores Carter, Janice Gregory, Irene Connor, Bobbie Sanders and Ernestine Robinson.
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Williams, Sr.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Curtis Ray (Jacqueta Ann) Jemerison; Franklin D. Willliams, Jr. Butch one sister, Gertrude Jemerison and brothers, Willie and Milton Jemerison.
The family would like to express special thanks to Reverend Dr. Vincent D. McMillon and the St. Paul Baptist Church family, Region VII, St. Marys Medical Center, Magnum Care and Heartland Hospice.
