Malvin Simon Jr. (Lansing)

Malvin V. Junior Simon, Jr. passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 66. He was born January 20, 1950 to Malvin V. and Alphia Hicks-Simon in Lansing, Michigan.
Malvin attended the Lansing School District, graduating from J. W. Sexton High School, Class of 1968. After graduation, Malvin was employed by Lansing Fisher Body for a short period of time and later was employed by Michigan State University where he retired. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where he enjoyed participating in many youth activities and programs.
Malvin leaves to cherish his precious memory one daughter, Denise D. Simon, Lansing, Michigan; three sons, Darnell Jones, New York, Malvin Brewer and Shavaughn Simon, Lansing; two aunts, Roberta Hicks-Lemon (known as his Sweet Auntie) and Barbara Hicks, Lansing and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including devoted friends Raheema Kathy Muhammad and Robert Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Debra S. Simon-Flagg and brother, Sam V. Simon.
