Mamie B. West 'Gruntney'

Mamie B. Gruntney West passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 73 years. She was born on December 1, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan to Robert and Elizabeth Woods.
Mamie was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of 1960. She worked as a teachers assistant for the Saginaw City School District for several years. Her last place of employment was General Motors, retiring after 27 years of service. Mamie enjoyed experimenting with various foods and sharing them with her family. She enjoyed antique shopping while spending quality time with her son who was the love of her life. Mamie also shared her love with her four puppies that brought great joy and pleasure to her.
Mamie leaves to cherish her memory one son, Anthony Keith West; two sisters, Emma Jean Frierson and Barbara McClellon; one brother, Robert Moe (Armell) Woods, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Woods; brothers: Robert, Leroy, James and George Woods, and one sister, Jeanette Daniel.
