Mamie Lee Taylor passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 57 years. She was born March 6, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Dorothy Hudson. Mamie later moved to Saginaw, Michigan to live with her aunt Anne Mae Davis.
Mamie was united in holy matrimony to Benny Taylor on June 22, 1973. She was a loving a devoted mother of six children. Mamie spent many years working as a caregiver for the elderly and young children. She loved caring for others. Mamie was especially fond of animals. She took in every stray animal she could and nourished them with love. Mamie enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. She had a fierce spirit. Her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband, Benny Taylor; three daughters, Audra and MarQueeta Taylor, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Beverly Taylor, Harper Woods, Michigan; three sons, Ben (Tammy) Taylor, Aaron (Mary) Taylor and Alexander Taylor, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one step-daughter, Stephanie Wilburn of New York, New York; seventeen grandchildren, Shatoya and Tori Wilburn, Bion Henderson, Donovan Smith, Benny Williams, Roger Jr. and Jaden Parker, Saivion and Laila Spellman, Benyia, Jordan, Tamia and Travis Taylor, Taylor Morton, Anastasia, Zechariah and Hazel Brown-Taylor; three great-grandchildren; stepmother, Mildred Hudson; six sisters, Nona Grant, Cecilia Grier, Pam Howard, DeeDee (James) Tolbert and Sonia Hudson, all of Detroit, Michigan, Rebecca Williams, Raleigh, North Carolina; three brothers, Jeng-Gus Khang (formerly known as James Hudson), Bryan Hudson and Lewis Howard, all of Detroit, Michigan; two brothers-in-law, Andrew (Dale) Taylor and Donnie (Mary) Taylor, both of Eudora, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends including her special friend, Michael Johnson and best friend/cousin Willie Davis.
Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Hudson, three brothers, Derrick, Benjamin and Darryl Hudson, grandmothers, Jane Brown and Johnnie Ware, grandfather, Wally Hudson.
